Brooklyn Saechao

Brooklyn Koy Saechao
July 26, 2010 - August 4, 2011
Brooklyn Koy Saechao was born on July 26, 2010 to Sarn and Jamie Saechao. Her mother began dating a man named Jeffrey E. Locker. On August 2, 2010, her mother left Brooklyn in the care of Jeffrey who, on this day, called 911 to report that little Brooklyn had fallen and hit her head on something.
Brooklyn was brought to the hospital with severe head injuries and by the time she reached the hospital, she was unconscious. Though Jeffrey claimed that Brooklyn had fallen in the bathtub on her own, though medical officials knew that her injuries couldn't have been a result of Brooklyn falling on her own.
Two days after being brought to the hospital, Brooklyn died. Her injuries were consistent with child abuse. Jeffrey Locker was sentenced to 18 years in prison for manslaughter.

Brianna Walker

Brianna Lynn Walker
May 31, 2001 - June 7, 2005
Brianna Lynn Walker was born on May 31, 2001. She was her parents' first child and she was their life. She was riding on horses since she was just a baby, and it soon became something that she enjoyed very, very much. One day, Brianna was riding her horse, Slug, and he started acting up. Brianna had ridden him many times, but his acting oddly did worry Brianna's parents a bit.
Brianna had been practicing riding her horse, and her mother took Brianna off of Slug and put her on the horse that she had been riding. It was decided that they would put the horses back in their stables and practice later, but Brianna begged and begged to practice now until her mother gave in and let her.
They were on the way to the arena, and Brianna was riding Slug again because he had started to act normal. On their way to the arena, they turned around to go back to the house because Brianna's mother said that she had to go to the bathroom.
They were nearing their home when their cat began following them. Their cat often followed them when they rode horses, so this wasn't unusual, but for some reason, on this day, the cat spooked Slug. Brianna's mother noticed this and she began to get off her horse to go and get Brianna off of Slug, but she didn't move fast enough.
Slug reared up and fell over backwards, landing right on Brianna. He quickly rolled off of her. Brianna's mother felt relieved when she saw that Brianna looked fine. She thought she was just knocked out, but when she picked up her little daughter, blood began flowing out of her mouth and nose.
Brianna's mother picked her up and ran to the house. When she reached the house, she called 911. After an ambulance was on its way, she called her family members for help. She knew they could get their quicker than the ambulance. Brianna had a pulse, but she wasn't breathing. Brianna's mother attempted to breathe for her by breathing into her mouth, but her pulse slowly got weaker and weaker before it stopped completely.
Brianna's mother began performing CPR on her, and finally, the ambulances arrived. The doctors began working on Brianna and Brianna's mother went to get Brianna's father who had been outside, not knowing that any of this had occurred. A helicopter landed in the field near Brianna's house and loaded her into it.
Brianna's family drove to the emergency room. They took her family into the counseling room and said that a surgeon would come in to talk to them soon. They were also told that by the time Brianna reached the hospital, she was attempting to breathe on her own, which was better than how her mother had last seen her, with only a weak pulse. This was followed by "...but her injuries were so severe that her heart couldn't keep up. She died a few minutes ago. I'm sorry."
Brianna's family held her, and sang to her. Her parents got her handprint, and her foot print. They also got to keep a lock of her light blonde hair.

Tristan Allegra

Tristan Michael Allegra
February 10, 2000 - December 25, 2008
Tristan Michael Allegra was born on February 10, 2000. His mother was Eryn Allegra. His mother was unemployed and she had little money. She had been contemplating suicide for months before Tristan's death, but it seemed like she didn't want to leave her son behind, so she began planning his death as well.
Eryn took her son to a Holiday Inn hotel on Christmas Eve. She fed him dinner and eight advil tablets, hoping that this would kill him. She became doubtful that the medication would kill her eight year old son, however, so she made a backup plan.
About two hours after Tristan fell asleep, his mother also smothered him with a pillow. She did this for about fifteen minutes, and at one point, Tristan woke up, his survival instincts kicking in, and he started to try and escape. His mother was stronger than him however, and she continued to smother him. She later told investigators that she "wanted to make sure that Tristan wasn't going to wake up and have some type of disability" due to the amount of medication she had given him.
After Tristan was dead, Eryn attempted to slit her wrists, but the blades were too dull, so she called 911. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries, and then she was taken to jail and charged with first degree murder.

Kyra Aaralynn Zubah

Kyra Aaralynn Zubah
July 9, 2006 - November 10, 2009
Kyra Aaralynn Zubah was born on July 9, 2006. When she was just eleven weeks old, she was placed in a foster home due to her biological father being arrested for child abuse. She lived with Christine Atchinson until just four months before her death. Her little sister, Heaven, also lived with her and their foster mother, Christine.
Four months before her death, Kyra was taken out of Christine Atchinson's custody due to Christine allegedly attempting to fraudulently purchase prescription medication and the fact that it was believed to be in the best interest of children with Native American ancestry to be placed in tribal foster homes where they could learn about their heritage. Kyra was placed in the home of Sharon Whitecloud, along with her little sister, Heaven.
On November 7, 2009, Sharon took Kyra to the hospital after reportedly finding her unresponsive. She had a head injury. Doctors were suspicious when they found that Kyra had been taken to the hospital at least one hour and thirty minutes after she received the head injury, and multiple bruises on Kyra's body in various stages of healing. They suspected abuse.
Kyra had bleeding in her brain, and she was put on life support. She was soon declared brain dead, and taken off life support on November 10, 2009. Her death was investigated as a homicide and all four of the other children that lived with Sharon Whitecloud were removed from her custody.
Sharon Whitecloud was found guilty of second degree manslaughter. Sharon admitted to taking a sleeping pill which, according to her, caused her to drop Kyra on her head twice. It was also known that she had shaken little Kyra.

Aaren Marie Dunn

Aaren Marie Dunn
October 2, 1992 - June 26, 2000
Aaren Marie Dunn was born on October 2, 1992. She lived with her father, Robert W. Dunn. Aaren's mother said that she knew that Aaren was in danger, but no one would help her get full custody of Aaren. On June 26, 2000, Aaren's mother's fears were realized when Robert broke his seven year old daughter, Aaren's, arm. He also stabbed her with a kitchen knife.
Robert Dunn stabbed Aaren in the chest and in the neck until she died. Aaren's older sister, Nadine, had endured this torture as well, although she managed to get away from her father's grasp. She was eleven years old at the time. Nadine got away from her father and ran down the street to a convenience store for help.
Nadine was helped by two men. While Nadine went for help, her father stayed at home attacking Aaren. The men who helped Nadine ran to her house, but discovered that the front door was locked. They ran to the back of the house. The back door was unlocked, so they went in and found Robert Dunn hovering above little Aaren. She was not breathing. One of the men managed to pull Robert away from Aaren. When the police arrived, Aaren's father told them "The devil is here.". He then told them "I killed the devil. She was possessed. I killed the devil."

James Patrick Bulger

James Patrick Bulger
March 16, 1990 - February 12, 1993
James Patrick Bugler was born on March 16, 1990. He was a very happy little boy. On February 12, 1993, James went to New Strand Shopping Centre with his mother, Denise. While inside of the Centre, Denise went inside the butcher's shop. She momentarily let her son, James, out of her sight while she placed her order for lamb chops. James wandered around the doors of the store and was found by Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, both ten years old.
The boys were playing truant from their school, and they had been causing trouble all day. Throughout the day, the boys were seen stealing candy, a troll doll, paint, and batteries. After the boys saw James, they approached him and spoke to him briefly. Then they took him by his hand and lead him out of the store. This was captured on the store's security camera.
The ten year old boys took James on a two and a half mile long walk. They ended up at a canal where they dropped James on his head and suffered injuries to his face. The boys joked with each other about pushing James into the canal. James now had a bump on his head, and he was crying. During this time, James and the boys were seen by thirty-eight people. Only two people questioned the older boys about why James was injured and crying. The boys told one person that James was their little brother. They told the other person that he was lost and they were taking him to the police station.
At one point, Jon and Robert took James into a pet shop, but the owner kicked them out. Eventually, they reached another town. The boys were very close to the police station, and they were afraid that the police would question them. They lead James up a steep bank and to the railroad. This is where they began torturing him.
One of the boys threw a can of blue paint at James. The paint got in his eye. This was the paint that the boys had stolen earlier in the day. They kicked James, and stomped on him. They also threw bricks and stones at him. They put batteries in his mouth, and put batteries in his anus. They also dropped an iron bar onto him. He suffered ten skull fractures from the iron bar.
When the body of James was found, his shoes, socks, trousers, and underpants were removed. This made police believe that there was a sexual element to the crime, though the boys both denied this. It was later found that James's foreskin was forcibly retracted. Before the boys left James's body, they laid him across the railroad tracks, weighing his head down with pebbles. They wanted a train to hit him so his death looked like an accident. A train did come by and hit his body, severely damaging it, but investigators were still able to detect foul play.

Emma Marie Baldwin

Emma Marie Baldwin
September 4, 2010 - October 22, 2012
Emma Marie Baldwin was born on September 4, 2010. Her parents were Benjamin and Brandie Baldwin. Emma's parents had separated. Emma was a happy little girl who loved her family, and playing outside. She liked fishing and playing with bubbles. She also liked painting, going on walks in the park, and watching cartoons with her older sister. Her favorite color was pink.
Emma and her father

In October of 2012, authorities were called to Emma's home to report that she wasn't breathing. She was only two years old. Emma was taken to the hospital where it was found that she hadn't choked on anything, so why she had stopped breathing, at that point, was unknown.
Doctors then told police that they found multiple injuries on little Emma's body. There were bruises on her face and chin. There were also bruises on her arms, legs, and buttocks. Her right arm was broken, and there was trauma to her head. Emma could not breathe on her own, but her heart was still beating. There was bleeding in her brain. Her brain was swollen, and there were issues with her kidneys. They gave her blood pressure medicine for her heart.
Emma's injuries matched up with child abuse. She had no brain activity at all, but she was still alive because her heart was still beating and she was breathing with the help of a ventilator. They unhooked Emma from the machines, as she was brain dead. Her father, Benjamin, had been by her side throughout this ordeal. He had been hugging her, kissing her, holding her hand, and singing to her. He told her how much he loved her. The doctors gave her father a lock of her hair that he now carries with him in his pocket.
Emma's mother, Brandie Baldwin, and her mother's boyfriend, Juwan Moore were indicted with connection to Emma's death.
