Kaylynn Bella Mitchelle Broshears

Kaylynn Bella Mitchell-Broshears
October 8, 2008 - January 31, 2011
Kaylynn Bella Mitchell-Broshears was born on October 8, 2008. to Tiffany Mithcell and Kraig Broshears. She saw both of her parents, but they had separated. The last time Kaylynn saw her father, Kraig, he told her "I love you. I'll see you tomorrow." However, Kraig did not see Kaylynn that next day. In fact, that was the last time he ever saw her.
On January 31, 2011 at 4:00 p.m., Kraig Broshears dropped his daughter, Kaylynn off at her mother's house. Kaylynn's mother, Tiffany was dating a man named Joe Albarella. He had recently gotten an oxycodone pill from a family member, though he didn't have a prescription. Tiffany was going to take the pill, but she didn't want to take the whole dose. She attempted to cut the pill in half, but it didn't work. She was frustrated, so she left the pill on her nightstand and went to take a shower.
It is believed that minutes after Tiffany got into the shower, Kaylynn toddled into her mother's room and saw the pill. It is believed that Kaylynn may have mistook the pill for candy. Oxycodone, a powerful narcotic pill, is not suitable at all for children. Little Kaylynn died in her sleep.
Kaylynn's mother admitted that she had left the pill on her nightstand where Kaylynn could reach it. She was convicted of manslaughter by culpable negligence. Joe hadn't been home at the time. He returned home to find that Tiffany was awake. He assumed that Kaylynn had already been put to sleep since it was 11:00 p.m. by the time he got home. The next morning, he found Kaylynn's pale body, and found out that she wasn't breathing. He attempted to revive her, but all of his attempts failed.

When she was first questioned, Kaylynn's mother told authorities that she didn't have a clue as to what happened to her little daughter. The next day, while taking a polygraph test, Tiffany confessed to leaving the pill on her nightstand.
